New Exhibit in Kresge: “More Than Meets the Eye”

The turn to mechanical objectivity in the second half of the nineteenth century introduced photography into science.  But did the early photo actually enable scientists to “see” what they needed to see in nature? … By comparing images before and after photography, the exhibit asks how a new technology shaped the values and practice of science.
