Dartmouth has trial access through the end of 2010 to SpringerMaterials, the Landolt-Börnstein database, an important source of physical and chemical data for engineers and physical scientists. SpringerMaterials is based on the 400-volume Landolt-Börnstein New Series, a unique, fully evaluated data collection in all areas of physical sciences and engineering. In addition to the core Landolt-Börnstein content, SpringerMaterials includes a data collection on thermophysical properties of common components and mixtures; a data collection on inorganic solid phases, covering crystallographic data, phase diagrams, diffraction patterns, and physical properties; and a collection of chemical safety documents.
Trial access to SpringerMaterials runs through the end of December 2010. Please give it a try, and email Jane or Noah with your comments. There’s a cool flash video too.
