IEEE adopts new publishing policy for authors

For many years, IEEE allowed authors reuse of their IEEE copyrighted published papers. Authors were allowed to post the final version of an IEEE paper on a personal or institutional website. IEEE recently revised this policy. IEEE now officially allows only the final author-submitted manuscript to be posted by authors or institutions.

The dissemination of research and information through the scholarly journal continues to be important in the academic world we live in. The Dartmouth College Library offers support for scholarly publishing in many forms. One way is to keep abreast of authors rights and as we note from this change in IEEE policy, these rights change. If you have any questions about authors rights or copyright concerns, feel free to contact a Kresge librarian.
