A small, useful tip …

… on getting material from Dartmouth’s Storage Library.

The Storage Library holds some low-use material, such as older or superseded editions of books, bound print journals for which the library has online access, and outdated or lesser-used books or journal volumes.

  • Request books, or a bound volume of a journal, from the Storage Library using the Request Itembutton in the Library Catalog.

This very brief screencast shows how to request books or journals from the Storage Library using the Request Item button

  • Request articles from the Storage Library using DartDoc.  Those amazing folks can scan and deliver articles to you in no time, no need to request the whole volume.

So — if you actually want the physical volume (or book),  use Request Item.  If you just want the article (or chapter), use DartDoc.
