Terrific news for all you SciFinder fans out there!
CAS has just bumped Dartmouth up to a new, unlimited level of access, – the “Academic Unlimited Access Plan” (AUAP, because no program can be without its acronym). This means that Dartmouth researchers will no longer experience turnaways, – busy signals indicating that all four of our ‘seats’ are in use. As of May 1st, there are no more seat limits, so (in theory at least) every single Dartmouth student could search SciFinder at once.
What a thought.
Access to SciFinder requires that you register for an individual account; you will then use your username and password each time you log in. Once you have registered, you can link to SciFinder right from the front page of the Kresge Library website. Note that there will still be a time-out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
