Mobile Pairing

Do you want to read licensed library content on your mobile device? Well you can, whether you use your device via a WIFI or cellular connection. With your mobile device connected to the Dartmouth VPN (Virtual Private Network) you are good to go. To use the VPN from your mobile device, you’ll need to download the software, and configure it.

Easier though for content you read frequently is to utilize Mobile Paring. Mobile pairing ia a mechanism by which you can “pair” your various web browsing devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops) with your institution’s network. Many publishers are now offering this option for journal or database access. A few examples are the AMS, Annual Reviews and even the Web of Science. Mobile paired content access may be active for anywhere from 30 days to six months before you need to reactivate your access privileges.
