You may have noticed some construction going on right across from the circulation desk in Kresge Library… we’re building an office in Kresge for a new Computing staff member in the Educational Technologies group, Zack Bennis.
Zack is offering general computing support – Mac, Windows, Apple mobile devices – for most of the departments in the Fairchild-Burke-Wilder complex, namely: Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Geography, and Physics & Astronomy. Zack comes to Dartmouth straight from Times Square, NYC, where he has been providing desktop computing support for Condé Nast for several years. He is excited about his move to into the .edu realm and to northern New England! Zack’s interim office location is in 201 Bartlett Hall. Faculty who have questions about technology purchases and setup, or who need help with technology troubleshooting, should contact Zack at firstname.lastname@example.org (e-mail from “his” departments sent to help will automagically be routed to Zack).
We are hoping that placing Zack’s office right within Kresge library will make it convenient for faculty who need any kind of computing or technology help, and will help bring library and technology services closer together. So, bear with us through the construction (we can give you earplugs!), and look forward to a ribbon-cutting ceremony in a few weeks!
